2015 Summer Theatre Camp!

For the last sixteen years thousands of kids have enjoyed starring on stage in a GREAT Summer Camp.  The kids like the instructors, meeting new friends, and all the fun that goes with performing.  The parents like the safe, rewarding environment for youth to explore theatre and build life skills.  But every summer the best part is when they get up on the stage at the end of the week for their performance or for sharing time.  They’re having so much fun!  Make your plans now for the most fun you'll have indoors all summer!



Ages 3-4
Cost: $39
Through dramatic play, children develop their imagination, build self esteem and confidence. Kinderplay camps feature creative movement, crafts, and literature-based activities. There will be a camper sharing time with family on the last day in a no stress classroom environment.

Campers will explore a frozen wonderland filled with familiar characters and friendly faces.

Explorers develop their creativity and self-expression through a wide-range of imaginative theatrical experiences. Explorer camps feature drama exploration, crafts and theatre games. There will be a camper sharing time with family on the last day in a no stress classroom environment.

This mini-play-in-a-week camp is specially designed for aspiring young actors. Students will experience auditions, practicing, memorizing and performing in costume for their friends and family on the last day of camp.  Being able to read makes this camp a lot more fun! If your child is not yet reading, we recommend giving explorer theatre a try.

Including the songs "Let It Go" and "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" campers will showcase their frozen adventure in a mini-show on the last day of camp!

Developing actors will be immersed in the production process from auditions to performing. Every actor receives lines to memorize as they work on dramatic expression, volume, movement and theatrical techniques to create their very own performance for family and friends.

Robin Hood
It’s up to Robin and his merry people to help the poor, defeat a nasty sheriff and secure Nottingham for the king’s return in this swashbuckling adventure.

Students work to prepare a musical performance from auditions to performances (and all the vocal work, acting and choreography in between.) This special all-day class will broaden the acting, singing and dancing skills of campers as they prepare for a final performance for family and friends. Each student will wear one of GREAT’s mainstage headset microphones on the final performance.

Frozen (ages 8-16)
Anna, a fearless optimist, sets off on an epic journey - teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven - to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Leapin' Lizards. It's a hard knock life for Annie and the other orphans as the kids foil Miss Hannigan's evil machinations and befriend President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

This class will explore the world of costume design and building.  Students will work on designing and building costumes for the opening 15/16 production in the GREAT Costume Shop.

Set Building & Painting Class
This class will explore the world of set building and painting.  Students will get to work hands on by building from blueprints, making small props and painting scenery for the opening 15/16 production in the GREAT Scene Shop.

There will be a fee of $5.00 for each switched camp. Cancellations may be made up to two weeks prior to the start of camp, subject to a 20% cancellation penalty. No refunds will be made within two weeks prior to the start of camp.
