Have you ever wondered what really happens behind-the-scenes on a production? Does the idea of directing appeal but you don’t know where to start? Are you interested in design but unsure where to find opportunities? Do you like analyzing stories or critiquing movies? Would you like to see your ideas come to life on stage? If you answered yes to any of these questions then apply to be a part of our YOUTH ARTIST PROJECT, back by popular demand!

Student Team
This year’s youth-led production is the well-loved Charlotte’s Web! The show will be directed and designed by high school students filling the following roles:

  • Director
  • Scenic & Props Designer
  • Costume Designer
  • Sound & Lighting Designer
  • Digital Designer

GREAT is excited to partner high school student artists with professional theatre artists and educators to bring this show to life. The student team will design, direct, and film Charlotte’s Web under the mentorship of the adult team, and each student production team member will receive a stipend of $250 at the end of the process. Furthermore, this year’s production will be available ON DEMAND in the month of March.

If you are interested in being a part of the student artistic team please fill out the applicant interest form by November 19.  GREAT will be in touch with all applicants by Nov. 20 to set up Zoom interviews for Nov. 23 & 24. APPLY TODAY!

Please note that interviews, mentor meetings, and some rehearsals will all be held online via Zoom, so the first in-person gathering is scheduled for January. Stringent safety protocols will be followed including temperature checks, masking for all rehearsals and performances, social distancing, and limiting the number of people in spaces.
