WHAT'S INTERESTING ABOUT THIS PRODUCTION:

  • This is a stage musical produced by Disney Theatrical, based on the animated 1989 Disney film of the same name and the classic story of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. It's about a mermaid who dreams of the world above the sea and gives up her voice to find love.

  • The Little Mermaid is given credit for breathing life back into the art of Disney animated feature films after a string of critical or commercial failures produced by Disney that dated back to the early 1970s.

  • By all means, this show is tailor-made for the kids! Even the young-young ones won’t be scared by that mean ol’ Miss Ursula, whose lair is accented with plenty of color and tricky stage effects. The last thing your kids will want to do is close their eyes.
