Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre

We are excited to introduce the Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre, which doubles as a stage and a fully equipped classroom, for local artists and actors to create an adventurous range of bold, diverse and unique theatrical experiences where the stories of our community can be shared!

Every experience in the Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre can adapt to the needs of the production in this intimate venue that features mobile staging, seating, and state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and sound.  You’re invited to get involved onstage, backstage, and in the audience.  We have a role for everyone at the Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre.

As part of our 2018-2019 Season we have two shows in our new Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre.

What is the Learning Lab Theatre?

We strive to ensure everyone in central Minnesota will have access to the transformative power of the arts. The GREAT Learning Lab Theatre is the answer to the community's need for increased programming and access for all.

Currently we are unable to cast two of every three people who audition for our productions due to demand.  The Learning Lab Theatre will ensure there is a role for everyone and provide theatre arts experiences for hundreds more participants each year.

As theatre arts are cut in schools across the community, GREAT is ready to provide critical theatre arts learning opportunities for all ages.

Mobile staging, chairs, and state-of-the-art theatre equipment will make the Learning Lab Theatre a flexible space for collaboration and creativity for students, families, businesses, and other arts groups.
