“My heart wants to sing every song it hears ...” We are delighted that you’re interested in auditioning for the GREAT Theatre’s production of The Sound of Music! Set in Austria as the Nazi party is staging a takeover of the country in 1938, The Sound of Music tells the story of Maria, a woman on a journey of self-discovery that leads her to faith, love, and family. We are committed to casting a group of actors ranging in age from 7-107 that will reflect the people of our community. We will be casting all roles, including the von Trapp children, to include different shapes, ethnicities, and identities.
