We are excited to announce Central Minnesota community stepped up to support community theatre at GREAT like never before! In total, the Helgeson-Palmer Challenge Match resulted in $579,391 toward the Final Act of the Setting the Stage Campaign-- blowing past their year-end goal of $500,000.

“Thank you to the generous donors in our area and to the hardworking campaigners at Great Theatre. They have made the  “high tech” part of the dream come true.  As students learn the technology of lighting and sound in the first learning lab theatre in the country, performances here in central Minnesota will be ever more magical as through the years. “ -- Mike and Karel Helgeson

Campaign Chair Steve Palmer says: “I am thrilled to see such amazing support and celebrate the success of the Challenge Match! Thank you to the many donors who have made this possible. The success of the Match enables GREAT to begin the building of the Learning Lab!”

“Steve and I wish to thank all the donors who helped not only meet, but exceed the Match! Together, we are creating GREAT Theatre’s Learning Lab; a place for our families to build life skills thru stage skills.” -- Deb & Steve Palmer

THE GREAT SETTING THE STAGE CAMPAIGN WILL ENHANCE THE THEATRE WE PRESENT ONSTAGE WITH AN EVOLUTION OF ALL THAT WE DO BACKSTAGE.

Your gift will expand our facilities to include a Learning Lab Theater, the first of its kind
locally or nationally featuring mobile staging, seating and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.

Your gift will create a hands-on learning environment where youth, teens and adults
of all abilities can build life skills through creating and making theater onstage and backstage.

Your gift will sustain a future of producing at the Paramount Theatre
and continue our proud history of fiscal stability.

With pledges from the match in hand, we are now in a position to set the official timeline for the Learning Lab Theatre groundbreaking which is targeted for Spring 2017. $82,000 remains to be raised in early 2017 for capacity and new program funds for the Learning Lab Theatre. This will bring the Setting the Stage Capital Campaign to a close as GREAT gears up for community activities to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
