If cast, our Cast Meeting is Monday, December 10th 6:00-6:45pm with rehearsal to follow till 9:00pm at the GREAT Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre, Waite Park. All cast members under age 16 must have a adult guardian attend the cast meeting with them. Look for a email with your cast registration link next week! Congrats!

PUBLISHERS’ DESCRIPTION: Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World."
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: The entire company will begin rehearsals on Monday, December 10th, 2018. We will rehearse Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-9:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am-3:00pm. Not every actor will be called to every rehearsal. We will break for the winter holidays on Sunday, December 23rd, 2018 and resume rehearsals on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019.
Rehearsals will typically take place at the GREAT Studios in downtown St. Cloud with a handful of rehearsals at GREAT World Headquarters in Waite Park.
Attendance is required for all technical rehearsals (Sunday, January 27th, 2019 - Thursday, January 31st, 2019) and all performances. Technical rehearsals are scheduled from 5:00pm until late Monday - Thursday. Actors who will be performing flying roles will be called for Flight Rehearsals on Monday, January 28th and Tuesday, January 29th beginning at 3:00pm.

DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID CASTING INFORMATION: You will be asked to let us know which role(s) you would like to be considered for on your audition form. If you don’t accept a role (and drop from the cast) that you have indicated you will play that could be a factor in future casting.
Cast Breakdown: We are seeking an ethnically and racially diverse cast of adults and children for this production.
LEADING & FEATURED ROLES:
Ariel (Vocal Range: Ab3 - Gb5) A mermaid and King Triton's youngest daughter. She is obsessed with everything about the human world, and dreams of becoming a part of life above the water. Hardheaded, naive, and emotional, but also kind hearted. Flying character.
Prince Eric (Vocal Range: B2-G4) A human monarch who has no interest of taking the crown. A handsome, affable lad with a buoyant, adventurous nature. After Ariel saves his life, he becomes obsessed with finding her and hearing her voice once more. Flying character.
Grimsby (Vocal Range: C3-C4) Prince Eric's British guardian. Droll, stuffy, and constantly urging Eric towards his royal duties, specifically marriage.
Flounder (Vocal Range: A2-G4) A fish and smitten with Ariel, his best friend. Rambunctious but cautious, fearful of the dangers that lurk in and above the water.
Scuttle (Vocal Range: C3-G4) A disheveled seagull and expert in human artifacts. Loudmouthed, optimistic, and a bit ignorant, despite his supposed expertise. Flying character.
King Triton (Vocal range: Ab2-F4) King of the Sea and Ariel's father. Beneath his imposing presence and commanding nature lurks a harried single father who will do anything to protect his daughters. The death of his wife has also given him an irrational fear of humans.
Sebastian (Vocal range: Bb2-C5) A crab and advisor to King Triton. A musical virtuoso who is constantly distraught from keeping after Ariel. Despite his paranoia, he can't bring himself to stand in Ariel's way.
Flotsam (Vocal range: E3-C5) An eel and one of Ursula's lackeys. Oily and spineless, he will say anything you want or need to hear.
Jetsam (Vocal range: B2-A4) An eel and one of Ursula's lackeys. Oily and spineless, he will say anything you want or need to hear.
Ursula (Vocal range: Eb3-C5) The banished Sea Witch and sister of King Triton. Supposedly spurned at childhood, she will use whatever method necessary to steal the kingdom and claim it as her own. Malevolent, calculating, and deceptive.
Chef Louis (Vocal range: Bb2-A4) The French palace chef, diabolical and violent. A culinary perfectionist with an affinity for blades, seafood in particular.
